My name is Laura and I am the owner of Hype Cosmetics, here you will find all the Information about the treatments & training that I offer.
You’ll find me in my studio within Hidden Beauty & Aesthetics in Colchester, Essex. I have a huge passion for my work, my art and clients. I am a devoted tattoo artist & cosmetic tattoo artist first and foremost, however I offer some beauty & aesthetic treatments and I teach courses in permanent make up.
My clients and students are my priority and I always provide precision that guarantees brilliant results. My studio gives you a friendly, calm, inclusive place to have your treatments and learn. This is really important to me as a lot of people feel uneasy or uptight going to beauty/aesthetics clinics or tattoo studios, so when clients return because they feel at ease it makes it all worth while.

Why Choose Us
MY STORY
I started my journey in beauty at 19 years old at Colchester institute gaining a qualification in beauty therapy. Whilst I enjoyed beauty I never found what it was that I wanted to specialise in, I enjoyed make up & brow shaping but wasn’t sure where I could go with that.
Life went on and I pursued other things like dancing & acting in music videos, films & tv programs in London. And then going to work in Greece for 6 months, where I met the man that went on to become my daughter’s father.
After having my daughter, break ups, house moving and all the other crazy things that life throws at you, I met my fiancé. With his support and encouragement I found what it was I was looking for all those years ago!! I trained in permanent make up and set up my business, I honed my skill and earned the title ‘brow queen’ by my clients. Along the way I’ve trained in pmu/tattoo removal, microneedling, chemical peels, tattooing, scalp micropigmentation, tooth gems and teaching.
I started as Laura Hunnaball Permanent Make up and rebranded as Hype Cosmetics in 2023. I launched Hype Cosmetics Luxury Training in October 2024 and have started offering paramedical tattooing this year. I love my job and I love watching my business grow.
